AMICAS Vision Series™ Hits the Mark in the KLAS Top 20 Mid-Year Report Card
Vision Series RIS Ranks #1 and Vision Series PACS #2
Boston, MA, June 23, 2005 /PRNewswire/ - AMICAS, Inc. (Nasdaq: AMCS), a leader in radiology and medical image and information management solutions, today announced that their customers have rated AMICAS® Vision Series RIS and Vision Series PACS at the top of their respective market segments, as noted in the recent KLAS Top 20 Mid-Year Report Card, June 2005 (www.healthcomputing.com).
Vision Series RIS was rated #1 overall for radiology information systems in the specialty niche category for ambulatory radiology facilities. Additionally, Vision Series PACS was rated #2 overall for acute care PACS facilities greater than 200 beds. Since 2003, this is the fifth consecutive KLAS report AMICAS has rated either #1 or #2 for PACS, including two #1 scores for KLAS' PACS Perception Report (October 2003 and April 2005).
"Radiology healthcare executives continue to recognize AMICAS' empowering solutions for image and information management," said Peter McClennen, AMICAS' president and COO. "Our top rankings in KLAS are reflective of our customer's ability to do more. Whether it's RIS or PACS, our ambulatory and acute care customers continue to inspire us, as customer success remains paramount as a central objective of AMICAS."
