AMICAS and NeuroLogica Sign Distribution Agreement
Partnership bundles industry acclaimed image management into world's first wireless CT

Boston, MA, February 26, 2007 /PRNewswire/ -- AMICAS, Inc. (Nasdaq: AMCS), a leader in radiology and medical image and information management solutions, today announced that it has executed a distribution agreement with NeuroLogica, a neuroscience-based medical imaging company. The agreement makes AMICAS' industry acclaimed software available in NeuroLogica's CereTom™, the world's first portable and wireless head and neck mobile CT.

The CereTom portable CT scanner is a compact, lightweight, portable, high speed, battery, and line powered multi-slice CT scanner optimized for scanning anatomy such as the head and neck. Designed to make CT scans accessible beyond the large scanners in the radiology department, the CereTom is compact enough to be used in intensive care units, operating rooms, emergency departments, clinics, and locations outside of a healthcare facility.

It is our belief that physicians using the CereTom portable CT scanner bundled with AMICAS' image management software will be able to provide their patients with a more timely diagnosis as a result of the high quality images delivered directly from the scanner to a Web browser. This bundled solution will allow specialty physicians, such as neurologists and ear, nose, and throat specialists, to provide first-class care to their patients in an outpatient setting.

"Our partnership with AMICAS provides two particularly valuable benefits to our customers. The first is access to unprecedented image quality delivered directly from the scanner to a Web browser. The second is access to AMICAS' end-to-end suite of image and information management solutions for those practices seeking such capabilities,” said Eric Bailey, president and chief operating officer of NeuroLogica Corporation.

"NeuroLogica has wisely chosen to add AMICAS' Web-based image platform to its CereTom as a means to differentiate their solution. AMICAS is able to expand distribution of its image management technology and end-to-end product suite. As partners, we are able to provide the entire imaging IT experience – from scheduling and image production to interpretation and revenue cycle management,” said Barry Gutwillig, vice president of strategic initiatives and partnerships at AMICAS, Inc.

AMICAS' powerful end-to-end solutions empower outpatient facilities with PACS, RIS, enterprise document management, and revenue cycle management tools. AMICAS, in the business of developing, deploying, and supporting software solutions for over thirty years, is in a unique position to capitalize on the distribution opportunities afforded by this partnership.
