Craig Newfield — VP & General Counsel

Craig Newfield is a seasoned software executive with a 20 year track record of success that covers the full gamut of events, challenges, and transactions that can face a public company. As vice president and general counsel, Mr. Newfield is responsible for all legal affairs and takes a leading role in AMICAS' ethics, corporate governance, SEC and regulatory compliance, litigation and dispute resolution, mergers and acquisitions, contracts, and intellectual property matters.

Prior to joining AMICAS, Mr. Newfield was vice president and general counsel at Gomez, Inc., a provider of Web experience management services, where he helped prepare and file its S-1 Registration Statement. Prior to Gomez, he was vice president and general counsel at MRO Software, a provider of enterprise asset management software, where he helped the company execute on its growth strategies, until it was acquired by IBM, where Mr. Newfield served for a year as transition executive. Prior to MRO, Mr. Newfield was vice president and general counsel at Interleaf, a provider of enterprise publishing software, where he played an instrumental role in the company's recapitalization, in several strategic acquisitions, and, ultimately, in its acquisition by Broadvision, Inc.

Mr. Newfield holds a JD from Boston College Law School and an MS in management from the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
